Brand guidelines · v1.0

Built from blocks, drawn on a grid.

How Fera looks, sounds and signs its work: the mark, the colours, the type, the blueprint motif and the voice. For the team, partners and anyone writing about us.
01 / The mark

A block-built F, inside a frame.

The F is assembled from square modules, the way we build software: small, well-understood parts that fit together. The frame is the boundary we promise to work within: scope, budget, standard.
Lockup

The wordmark is “Fera” in Jakarta 800 at −0.05em. The endorsement “by MayR Labs” sits under it in mono capitals. Drop the endorsement only where space is very tight.

Clear space and size
xx

Keep clear space of x, the width of the F's stem, on every side. The mark is never smaller than 16px on screen or 6mm in print.

02 / Colour

Forest carries the page. Signal says where to look.

Nine colours, used with restraint. Signal is the only accent; ember appears only for status, never decoration.
  • #FF6B4A
CoralThe voice. Calls to action, highlights and the stem of the f.
  • #FFC23D
SunWarmth. Underlines, stars, stickers and happy moments.
  • #2CC295
    MintGood news. Live, available, done.
  • #4D7CFE
SkyCalm and trust. Products, links in charts, focus rings.
  • #9E85FF
LilacA playful extra for people: portfolios and illustrations.
  • #1E1B3A
InkWords and dark grounds: headlines, the footer, buttons.
  • #4B4867
BodyParagraph text on cream and white.
  • #FFF8EF
CreamThe page. Warm paper, never stark white.
  • #FFFFFF
    WhiteCards that sit on cream.
  • #FBEFDF
    OatQuiet fills, hovers and dividers.
03 / Typography

One sans for everything that speaks. One mono for everything that counts.

04 / Motif

The blueprint grid, the terminal and the stamp.

Fera's surfaces are drawn like technical documents: a 48px graph-paper grid, square cells separated by one-pixel rules, terminal windows for anything that reports status, and numbered mono labels.

05 / Voice

We write like engineers who answer the phone.

  • 01

    Warm

We sound like a helpful neighbour who happens to build software. Friendly, welcoming, never cold or corporate.

  • 02

    Plain

Say what it does for the business, not how it works inside. If a client didn't use the jargon first, we don't either.

  • 03

    Honest

Clear prices, real timelines, real results. We don't promise what we can't measure.

  • 04

    Upbeat

Confident and cheerful about what good software can do for a business, without hype or buzzwords.

Do
  • Set the mark in signal on forest, or forest on paper and signal.
  • Keep clear space of at least one block (the F's stem width) on every side.
  • Use one accent per surface. Signal is the only colour that asks for attention.
  • Number things: sections, steps, figures. Mono labels carry the index.
Don't
  • Round the corners of the mark, cards or buttons. Fera is square.
  • Recolour the mark in client or gradient colours.
  • Set headlines in anything but Jakarta 800 with tight tracking.
  • Use stock illustrations. Use the work itself, or the blueprint grid.
